When I was visiting family, I found out that my uncle who lives in Maine has an antler stash.

He spends lots if time walking in the woods and around an orchard where he finds lots of sheds.

These will keep me supplied for a little while. And more available! I'm going to look into the moose antler next time.

Nice stash! I don't find time to hunt anymore but my Dad still hunts & keeps me supplied with antler.

Dan,

What do you plan on making with those.......

Also, just a side note, it is not legal to buy, sell, trade or barter any "part" of a Pa, whitetail......
I understand that the antlers are from maine......How do you convince the Pa Game Warden of that......

I have contact them myself years ago, and what I was told, that I may purchase antlers from venders (not pa whitetail) as long as you know they were taking legally...I was also told to "keep" a sales receipt in your cash box to prove they where purchased and taken legally........

I only know of one other state that have the same regulations, and the is SC

I plan on making pens of course!

I'm not going to sell an antler. I'm going to sell a pen. You can buy antler at woodcraft as blanks so I'm really not worried about it.

Great find. I think it adds to the pen if you know where the materials come from. Plus the price even sounds better. You mentioned moose antler. I picked up a piece of the palm in Alaska and it was awesome. It was dense with white and grey swirls. I've been told that most of the moose antler is porous but the tines or points are pretty good.
