Torpedo is a fantastic beer, but then Sierra's Pale Ale has been my default for years, and I have loved their "wet hop" series... If I'm ready to drop a little more $$$ I'll go for Bear's Racer 5 or Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid... And if you want to see how the east coast does hops, Harpoon came out with a Leviathan IPA that is very good. There are a lot of beers out there that have gone overboard on the hops, but these I think hit the upper end of high hops while still balanced...
I'm not sure if they will do it again, but if you ever see Sam Adam's Lattitude 48 "Deconstructed" box, it is a fantastic "Hop Tour". 2 bottles of Lattitued 48, a beer they make with 5 different hops grown at the 48th lattitude, and 2 bottles each of the same basic brew but made with only one of the hops, so you can sample what each hop tastes like individually and see how they combine... of course you can't do that all in one night if you want to remember it...
Both the opener and the mug look fantastic!!!
