You ever notice how those little things on a lathe can cost the most?

Which leads me to this:
#1: Where can I get a 5/16-18 screw/bolt/whatever for the tool rest without giving Jet $26+ for one?
(I'd prefer to get something that doesn't have the hardness of a mushy squid)

Has anyone else had to replace their locking nut on the tool rest?

Scott (for $26 I'd want 10 of them) B

I'm guessing that is part#45?

I was just needing the screw part though. The 'indention' are striped, and now the allen head is rounded.....neither is very effective for making the tool rest adjustable.

The 'arm' is working just fine though...

Yeah...mine died on my 1014 years ago. Our tool shop put another one on...about $12? Not the same style, but it's tough and works great!

Sorry, this won't help you any but,.... I just ordered a similar style locking lever for my belt/disc sander for $12+change and thought that was kind of high. I guess this price is good compared to JET!

At work, I've seen prices on many items/parts they've ordered and most of them makes my jaw hit the floor! I have nothing against making a profit, but many of these companies must be smoking crack!
