This is how I spend my weekends, as some of you know. Here is what I got this weekend...... I will never use all of this, but it's kind of like a quest....for the perfect burl.

The hunt must be fun. I know you have found some good stuff because a have a pen or two made with it. You live on acreage or is that from the surrounding area?

All legal burl hunting most is land in the family, but sometimes I spot one and get permission from the landowner, or trade for a pen. Many burled trees will not live to maturity, so a sacrifice for some pens and other turnings may be in it's best interest
