Less than 2% ever make Eagle. It's a lot of time and effort but I'll bet he learned lessons that he will treasure for the rest of his life.

Left handed shake to the young man.

Congratulations to your son and his proud father, from one Eagle to another. I hope my son makes it through that long journey one day. You must be very proud, and it is well deserved.

Bravo o o to your son, for his Eagle Scout, and to you for the necessary support and encouragement you would have provided to him.
We don't have Eagle Scouts in Australia, our equivalent is the Queens Scout, as the highest award. I got mine a few years ago, like 1955, but seems like yesterday.
May his continuing journey through life, be supported by the lessons, skills, and perserverence he has exhibited in obtaining his Eagle Scout Award.
Best wishes,
Brian.

Many congrats...he will go a long way in life,
I never achieved this prestigious award myself
however, my son did 24 years ago........
now he works for microsoft........

As a Eagle scout myself I offer my congratulations to your son. It is a honor he will carry with him for the rest of his life. One time I met a Medal of Honor recipient and when I told him that I was an Eagle he wanted to shake my hand.

Congrats....Good for him..he may not know it yet how much of an achievement it is...

I regret not getting my Eagle now at age 56. When your younger it's hard to see the importance and easy to get off track. My father was head of our Big Timber District in N.J. I did many Jamborees, was in the O.A. My younger brother made it to Eagle. I feel just short had all my badges getting close only needed to learn a second language and like a lot of kids lost interest. Maybe got pushed just a little too hard by Dad or fell into the wrong crowd (a little of both)

Oh well moral maybe don't push your kids too hard be carefull...
Congrats again...great achievement

Congratulations to your son. Being a Eagle Scout will open many doors for him later in life. He will cherish this day for the rest of his life.
My son became an Eagle back in 2000.

Well done! Congratulations to him, to you and to his mother! Ultimately he did the work, but you and your wife had to have been intimately involved as well. I often think the parents ought to get an award as well, but I suppose the satisfaction of seeing your son receive it is enough!

Congratulations to you both - that's an accomplishment that you will both be proud of the rest of your lives for sure!

Actually, my wife will get a pin. I may too. But as an Eagle Scout and seeing my son earn his, that is reward enough!

Thanks again for all the kind words!

from an Eagle Scout, congratulations. All the hard work, years of growing and developing, camping trips, planning, and skills learned will pay off greatly. I still buy popcorn everytime I see scouts selling...

BIG congratulations - to you all. It is impossible to anticipate all that will mean to him over the course of his life. When he stops to reflect on what he has accomplished in life - as he, inevitably will do from time to time - I guarantee earning his Eagle Scout award will always be close to the top of that list, right after marrying well and raising decent, successful children. At 64, I STILL find that to be so. And then there are all those valuable skills he learned along the way . . . Russ

congratulations on earning the eagle scout award i earned mined back in 1983 and workked with scouts till about 5 years ago it is a very big honor to earn the award with much work being involved to earn it was well you should be very proud of him as i know u are

Congratulations to him and the parents as well, great accomplishment. He will look back many times and be glad he put in the time and effort. You never know when the lessons of scouting come back to the present

Congrats thats a huge accomplishment. I got close but was kicked out at Life Scout back in 1975, but that is another story.....

Come to think of it, there IS one downside. To this day, if I walk into Barnes & Noble, past the discount shelves and see a book on knots, that baby is coming home to sit on the shelf with all the others! :-)
