Central? I thought everything south of the canal was slower Delaware. lol

My wife's cousin lives in Laurel, DE. She calls it 'lower, slower, Delaware'.:wink:
Actually that is usually spoken "slower, lower Delaware" but those who have been here get the idea pretty quickly. Delaware is the only place I've ever been where people who've lived in a house for years don't know what the name of the road it is on.

True Story: My wife was a worker in a program for young mothers and was given a girls name to go visit. She called the girl and asked for directions and part of the directions said "Turn left at the pig farm." My wife tried to follow the directions and couldn't find the left turn - she finally did find the turn and when she got to the house she said to the girl "You said turn left at the pig farm but I didn't see a pig farm where I made the turn." The girl then said "Well it used to be a pig farm."

Had our first real rain since April and snow in the Sierras. I-80 was closed over Donner Summit as no one had chains. Cool here today hope we have some mild fall weather before is gets bad.

I think our monsoon is finally over. Our high was 89 today. It was 106 earlier in the week. I'm ready for cooler weather. Maybe I can get in a winter garden this year. Beet greens....yum!)

Spring is here 24 degrees celcius today quite low in the morning though.

We installed a genius method to save heaps and totally increase our comfort in the between seasons using a fan in the roof up near the peak sucking the warm air during the day when in the roof the temp exceeds 15 degrees celcius ( about 10 am) enabling us to save on central heating. The warm air is channelled through the house via ducts to seven outlets (balanced) in the ceilings of rooms. In the summer will be reversed to suck out house heat in the evening etc. 9 Solar panels on our roof facing Nth cut our power bill to break even 0 to 30 or forty dollars big help for us two pensioners for the last 15 yrs.

Somewhere we all experience differing climates will take some pics of this years Floriade the largest in the Sthn Hemisphere, millions of bulbs and other flowers in this the nations Capital 400,000 people. OK wheres that well it is as clear to me as your states are to you hence my Avatar.

Kind regards be well. Peter.
