My son is getting married tomorrow night. Ya'll pray for me that I don't kill bridezilla before 7 pm tomorrow night. This girl has went totally insane the last few weeks. She actually threw a fit last night when we picked up our tux's because the sales girl jokingly told my son that I looked better than he did. Now she wants me to wear something different. REALLY!!! God Help me

Get a grip on Bridezilla before she gets it in her head she can run the show AFTER the wedding is over.

Agreed, except its not his place to do it. It's his sons.

Hopefully!, it's just the stress etc of the event and not indicative of the relationship as a whole.

One of the reasons why I still do premarital counseling with the couples weddings I officiate...

You mean you are unwilling to get a completely different tux in 24 hours to fulfill the girl's dream fantasy of a "PERFECT WEDDING?"

My random thoughts:

!. Isn't all of the attention usually focused on the father of the groom in a wedding party?

2. How could you consider hurting your son by looking better in your tux.

3. How is your son dealing with the situation?

4. I hope all of the other details of the ceremony go as planned.

5. Glad I'm not in your shoes.

6. Speaking of shoes, did you make sure your son looks better in his shoes than you do in your shoes?

I learned a long time ago that you can't pick your child's mate but if you could it is almost 100% that it wouldn't be the one they picked.

Kent, I hope it is the wedding jitters that is causing her to go off. As said you can't pick your children's mates. Just be glad you don't have to live with her. If her recent actions are her SOP your son may be in for a rough ride.

Everyday I'm vertical is a great day

She's actually a sweet girl but one of those types who has been planning her wedding since she was 10. Everything has to be perfect and all about her. Not to mention she has one of those high drama families which is only adding fuel to the fire. I'm sure after the I do's are said she will relax. If not, its like I told my son this morning, people have fallen off cruise ships before:)

Many years ago.....My friend gave his daughter the wedding of her dreams. A 2 week honeymoon all paid for. He was very proud of her choice for a husband. They got along wonderfully. He was the son in law he wanted for her.
One month after the honeymoon the daughter calls and says "Daddy, I want to come home." His reply........"You are." and hung up the phone.

Just give her some slack. Your son understands and will thank you and be back for advice shortly.

Enjoy the day.

This is the answer!! Wear your work boots with the tux! I'll start a collection now for whoever ends up needing bail. Lol.

All some girls look forward to is the weeding of her dreams. All will go OK today and her dreams will come true..except her husband don't look as good as your wife's husband............................ LOL
