Beautiful curly koa. First time using this wood. Pictures (from my cell phone) do not capture the depth that nature has put in this wood. To the naked eye this wood has a depth that makes it look 3D. Thanks for looking.

That is a particularly nice piece of curly Koa. Pen looks good. I really like your custom cap finial. Have you thought about using Koa for the barrel finial (above the threads)? That might look really super!

I don't disagree with you but I am not sure how to get the band off a Jr Gent. A triton's bands are separate rings put on by the owner. Are you saying the Jr Gent is similar where the band can be separated?
