I have texas mesquite pen blanks.. or bigger.. for trade... and maybe a few others (texas elm, spalted elm, pecan, and whatever else i have on my shelf)

The wood is white oak, but it's the history of the wood that makes it special. Each blanks comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. Check out pictures in the classified section.

if u guys want mesquite pen blanks, I have lots of small bits I can turn into blanks... so the amount isn't a problem..

but I do want to dry them in the microwave... some was cut last week..

for pens for me, burls, birds eye maple, desert ironwood, cocobolo, whatever...

bigger blanks... really whatever..

is white oak easy to turn compared to normal oak? local oak is very brittle and cracks a lot, so I don't turn texas oak....

I turn using carbide tip tools, but i find turning these smooth. I do not get cracking. Maybe because they have been fermenting the whiskey for so long.:befuddled:
