Cancer ribbons--looking for input

We know that pink breast cancer awareness ribbons are very popular.

We have started a not-for-profit cancer awareness program, and we would like to know what other colors should be available to pen makers.

So, if you have friends or family that have special interest in cancer awareness, what colors of ribbons are they wearing?

I did know about this resource, but my question is more about which of the many cancers are typically "ribbon" wearing.

I could look up which cancers are most prevalent---but if you have one with a very low survival time, the ribbon may not be as "endorsed".

So, I am hoping to see what the IAP community has experienced and is willing to talk about.:confused::confused::confused:
 
I think the general cancer one, breast cancer, and military ones are the one's I would concentrate on. You know of one or two people that get a different cancer, and some may not want to promote colon cancer or something like that. With the general you are covering there.

Everyone knows someone who has had breast cancer. The people that go throught it often discuss it, and are proud to make it through it.

Everyone has some affiliation with the military, even if it is just supporting the troops.

Another option could be dying your own. have a vacuum chamber set up with a large baby food jar, the dye with your stabilization and the dozen colors. throw the round before they are laser cut into it, and boom got whichever color you want.

I been looking for a blue ribbon clip for colon for myself (found out last year) and or Black for Melanoma (found out this year) and the verdict is still out for the Pearl white/clear (lung) And for the wife a Pink .

Thanks for the input!! Suppose you could get the "natural wood" ribbon--would you be willing to dye it, yourself? I suspect you could do this with a sharpie-type marker, but I would have to confirm that.
 
Being a Kidney transplant patient, i've devoted a lot of time making green ribbon awareness pens for the National Kidney Foundation. They give them to patients and family members. I would be interested in the natural ones, that way I could dye it any color.
 
Also though not a cancer ribbon I get TONS of requests for puzzle piece ribbons for autism awareness. Almost everyone knows someone with autism. Just something to think about.
 
I am very interested in bright green for lymphoma. My girlfriend Kindra, some of you who us at MAPG, has been fighting lymphoma for nearly two years
