I made two Apex pens and each time the plunger sticks and has to be unscrewed slightly to pop back up and then sticks again. I've checked the fit and the plunger is a perfect fit in both cases.

Anyone else having this problem?

Nope. I've made several and they all work fine. The instrs do say to make sure the plunger is turned all the way down to the bushings to avoid sticking issues. For wood, I undercut the bushing slightly to make up for any CA buildup.

Are you sure it's the clicker sticking? I've had trouble with the refill hanging up in the nib, give it a little tap and it retracts back in. other than that I have no ideas!

Try swapping the refill spring end for end....some springs one end of the spring is larger than the other.
