Tomorrow Dee will go into the hospital to have hip replacement surgery. Four years ago she had her left hip replaced and now she'll have her right hip. I will answer all emails and PM's in the early morning for the next 4 days , as I will be spending most of the days keeping her company at the hospital, she will be getting out on Saturday if all goes as planned.

Good for her. I've never known anyone who has undergone hip replacement to say they regretted having done it.

Betty and I wish Dee all the best and hope everything goes as planned.
Roy, don't you get up to any mischief while you are unsupervised. You will be able to leave the dunny seat up for 4 days.

Bob.

Best wishes to Dee from me too. Don't work her too hard now, be a nice guy and just let her catch up on all her chores when she comes home.

Skip, I told her just to take it easy for a few days when she gets back home , the laundry, dusting vacuumeing, mowing etc will wait for her...the pain my crotch will go away in a day or so where she kicked me by accident I'm sure. :beat-up:

Dee, I wish you a speedy recovery, since you have gone through it once already, remember to do what the physical therapist tells you to do. I had mine replaced the middle of November and it is great. The Doc says I need the right one done to but I am going to try and put it off for a couple of years. I was in excruciating pain for 3 years with the left one because the neuro surgen kept telling me the pain was coming from the L4 nerve root. I guess he is still practicing maybe one day he will get it right.
Thoughts and prayers a with you.

Got home about an hour ago from the hospital and Dee is doing just great, Doctor said she has good dense bones for the new hip to attach to and should be home on Saturday, thanks for all the well wishes, damn the house feels empty.

Glad to hear this Roy. I know what you mean about the empty house. BTDT

You know Roy, now would be a good time to pick up the phone and order both your favourite meal. Let someone else do the cooking, you just get out those little tea light candles, a bunch of flowers and spoil Dee for a change!! :)

Skippy that's a great idea, I'll call KFC for tonight and the Golden Arches for tomorrow, now to find those little tea light candles, you don't suppose the road flares in the trunk of the car will do, do you .

Hey you daft old coot, it ain't me that you need to impress!!!
If a bucket of GM'd bird in front of the telly ( with a glass of wine, of course ) is your thing, then go for it!! :)

Talking of crispy old bird and romance reminds me of a conversation I had with Mrs Eagle. I'll never forget when she told me the most romantic moment she remembered, was when the old guy walked into the joint with a 12 string over his shoulder. She thought he was as cool as a cucumber and was smitten from that moment on. :)

I am glad to hear Dee is doing good, I am sure she will let you slip away long enough to make a run to the Cattlemans!!
