Granddaughter getting married Saturday night and I have been asked to continue family tradition of grandfather praying over the couple. If you were doing this what is the one thing you would pray for?

My rules for a happy marriage:
Always kiss your spouse at least once a day! And kiss like you mean it!
Kiss your spouse one more time than they kiss you!
Never pass your spouse without touching them affectionately.
Never go to sleep without telling your spouse how much you love them.
Prove to your spouse that you do love them by doing small things. A neck rub does wonders!
Buy flowers for your spouse, well, just because

Just as calm waters do not make a good sailor, all peaches and cream does not make a strong marriage. Pray that their love for each other will be strong enough to carry them through the rough times of their marriage. Those trials will come. Their ability and willingness to endure those hard times together will make their marriage stronger.

Thanks for the input. I thought through everything and made a few notes. At rehearsal they told me I would have to hold a mike, and since there was no podium there was not place to sit notes. My solution was to have my wife, standing by my side since it was a family prayer, to hold my notes. She proceeded to to forget she had the notes in her hand so as someone suggested I simply prayed from the heart. This was our oldest grandchild and the first to get married. We all had a great time and sent them off to Hawaii for a honeymoon.

My daughter was lucky enough to have all her grandparents at her wedding. Only two survived to meet their great grandson. And now there is only one. May I be so lucky to be at my grandsons wedding. You have been blessed.
