Maybe to much Gold with the White Oak.


Stonewall Jackson prayer tree" white oak on a David Broadwell Nouveau Sceptre Rollerball Pen.

Being a bigger fan of oak than of gold, I think they balanced out very well together. Its just enough without over loading it. A definate keeper!
 
The crosscut grain is helping with the 'gold'....a lot going on in that blank. It looks like a keeper to me too! Nicely photo'd too.....

Nice looking pen!

I agree maybe the Black Ti version of the hardware or staining the wood might create better contrast. But that doesn't change the fact that this one is still a beauty!

I have done one in the Black Ti & 22kt. I do think I like that combo the best.

I do think that looks better with the lighter wood. Both are very nice, but I'd rate the 2nd slight higher than the 1st just because of the black ti contrast.
