So no magnets, hope your not disappointed! The contrast between the maple burl cap and acrylic is very continental coast line mappish. It is absolutely blue, but in just the right light, this blank from Tom Barron, hints at a green over tone, similar to an aurora borealis effect. C&C Welcome!

Very, very nice pen. I have a redwood burl stabilized with some blue that needs to be turned. Yours is very fine in all respects.
