I have nothing to do at work except wait for people to send me progress #s. So I have been bidding on ebay. I really need to stop, because I don't need to win all the things I have bid on.

Don't get me wrong, I would like to win what I bid on. So far I have been outbid on 4 of the 9 things. I didn't win 6 things (so far today), and won 0. LOL I feel like Dave Hester.

LOL. Sounds like my day on Friday's. Everything is wrapped up for the week and I so want to be done with work for the week. I find myself bidding on Ebay, reading of IAP posts extensively, watching turning videos on you tube, and searching Craigs List for tools.

Friday's are so much fun!! :)

I have more projects working than the other people in the department, and they are all frantically working. I am just sitting on my thumbs. I would rather be home playing Gran Turismo, or out in the dog house.

I know the feeling...in four 8hr shifts, I ordered all the stuff for my current M4 build, them my wife found out...:frown:

Me and a co-worker used to bid up items all the time. We worked 12 hour shifts and would hunt things to bid up on people. We would only bid on stuff we knew was worth way more than what it was currently at and that we would not mind having just in case we won. that is how I ended up with a $150 knife for $13.13.

Wish I had a work day where I had no work to do. Problem is when I run low on stuff to do there's plenty more queued up and waiting. Life in IT I suppose...

I started working from home on Fridays so I can sneak into the basement for a 1/2 hour here and there. I even take the laptop down there at times to check email and work on projects at the same time.

And just think - you even get paid for that. Fortunately, when I was working there was no eBay.

I sold on eBay and hated people who did that.

Wait you hated people bidding up? So you selling and people bidding your stuff up isn't good????

Its rarely the first bid that wins, its the last one. Unless you count "Buy it Now "

Well not necessarily - there were about a dozen bidders who bid on everything I put up --- but they usually would stop bidding at about 10% of the item's value. They were simply 'bottom fishing' making hundreds of bids hoping that now and then one of them would sneak through and they'd get a steal. In a lot of cases it's better for the seller if there is no opening bid at all.
