Mesquite Burl Slabs - Now This is Amazing

This morning I ran across THIS Craig's List posting for Mesquite Burl Slabs. I thought the photos were amazing!

I'd call it figured mesquite. I've never seen a 14 ft burl.

That's the wood that got me interested in turning... a mesquite bowl in an art gallery in Fredericksburg...

Talked to him today he said he said he did have some of the slabs left. However, more important to turners, a bunch of scrap for sale too.
