Does anyone here use their android devices to connect/follow the forum?

Wondering what app you're using to do so?

I just installed Tapatalk and it looks pretty good, but it's not activated on our forum here. Curious to know what's being used in the Android world here.

Let me know......hopefully we can get it activated here sometime.

Mine worked great for a while but then it stopped working. I just got a new phone a couple days ago and Forum Runner has SUCKED from the start. I don't think that app makers make good apps for android phones.

I spent months working with the feedback on the forum runner site and no joy.....it works for some and doesn't for others......

I too wish there was another app to use.....
 
I've had it on 2 phones Moto Droid X and my Current Samsung Galaxy S3 and haven't had any issues. It is currently working fine with 4.1.1
 
What am I missing? Why do you need special software, I just use a browser (but I'm no Android expert... far from it :redface: only had the thing a couple of weeks)

Forum apps make reading a forum a lot easier as you see a simplified version of the content. I'll show you on my iPhone next time we meet up if you like.

That's upsetting because I just got the Galaxy S3 and it doesn't work on mine with the notifications.

The program works fine but the notifications don't work.......Doesn't matter unless you are following a thread with some time dependency on it......

Wonder if it is my notification profile on the server. I will create a new login and see if that fixes the problem.....
 
Maybe one of you guys that have it working can help out here.....

This is how it says to create an account:
To activate Push Notification for Forum Runner for Android, follow the steps below:
  • Purchase the full version of Forum Runner from the Android Market
  • Verify that you are logged into a Google account in Settings->Accounts and Sync Settings
  • Launch Forum Runner.
  • Touch the "Notification Settings" icon on the home screen
  • Choose "Create Account" and enter a user name, password, and valid e-mail you would like to use
  • After you submit it, an activation e-mail will be sent to your e-mail address. Click on the activation link in that e-mail to activate your account
  • Congratulations! Once you favorite some forums that have fully installed the Forum Runner plugin, you will get updates periodically!
The red above is where I think I am having problems. I go to my google account and it says I am not logged in..... How do I stay logged in?
 
I only use my android, and I only use the internet explorer that came with the phone. It works great for browsing and if I get a private message the forum sends me a message.
But now you have me thinking that I should try something new. Damn IAP forum! Always giving me ideas to try something new!
