Sold Out! Random Wood & Stabilized Blanks: Selling my collection!

Sold Out! Thanks!

Since I finished my Master's degree in May and our second child (daughter) was born, I really don't have time to make many pens. So I'm selling off the majority of my stash. Keeping all my tools. I'm not getting out of the hobby at all, but I am getting realistic in what I can make in any given decade now.

Shipping--- you can combine shipping with ANY of my posts if you order the same day and notify me in your reply.

Small flat-rate boxes $5 (usually good for 15-20 blanks--- long blanks MAY NOT FIT).

Medium flat-rate boxes $11.

Large flat-rate box-- Still only $11, since that's a lot of blanks, I'll eat the rest of the cost.

Payment via PAYPAL, to redfishsc@hotmail.com. Please wait for me to PM you the total cost to make sure I get any combined shipping straight.

Pic #1 sold out! Pile-O-Whatnots. This is a random pile of NICE offcuts, a few PR castings. Most big enough for full sized pens, a few Sierra sizes, and a couple thin random whatevers. Included—curly eucalyptus, bocote, desert ironwood, black palm (yeah good luck with this one!), maple burl. $5 for all of it.
....reserved for FoamCapt40

Pic #2 Box of african blackwood- $30. These are hand-selected offcuts, ALL of them are solid blanks--- you can confidently make a pen from each of these blanks. A few are ½" -5/8" thick, but most are easily ¾ to 1" thick. Notice the Sharpie. There are more than 30 pieces here. These fill up about half of a medium-sized Flat Rate box. This is less than $1 per blank. .... reserved 1080 Wayne

Pic #3 sold out! Spalted Live oak, harvested myself from coastal SC, been dried for many years-- perfect for a large fountain pen. A and B, $5 each.
Curly Catalpa, $2
...reserved Joe Burns

Pic #4 sold out!
Bias-cut tigerwood, A-E. $2 each. You had better have sharp tools and a lot of patience with this one. I learned the HARD way that you have to work to make this awesome wood cut right. I made a cigar from this once that was one of the nicest cigars I've ever made. Haven't touched this wood since lol!...reserved dansills, all.

Pic #5 sold out! Beefwood, some really unique stuff. Looks a lot like a very tight grained leatherwood or lacewood. 6-pack of 5/8" thick blanks, $8.
7-pack of ¾" thick blanks, $10
... reserved for FoamCapt40

Pic #6 sold out!

Green/black buckeye-- $3...reserved Jim Smith
Red-black buckeye-- $3...reserved gandsande
Turquoise buckeye- $3...reserved gandsande

Pic #7 sold out! Thuya, extra-nice. $4
Russian Olive burl-- $3
....reserved Joe Burns

Pic #8 Sold out!
Tigerwood bias-cut (found after taking the other pics, this one is lacquered to show my customers)-- $2...reserved Jim Smith

Added, thanks gandsande!

I will PM you with the total, including shipping, either tomorrow or Sunday. Tomorrow is a big fishing day for my son and I, and we may be whipped when we get back lol.

Can I have

Pic #3 Spalted Live oak, harvested myself from coastal SC, been dried for many years-- perfect for a large fountain pen. A and B, $5 each.
Curly Catalpa, $2

and

Pic #7 Thuya, extra-nice. $4
Russian Olive burl-- $3

That should be all along with the order from your burl entry. Appreciate it.

Joe

Got it Joe, thanks! You will especially love that spalted live oak. It's all sapwood so it turns like butter. May need a little thin CA here and there, but most all the ones I used didn't. It's not nearly as open grained as other oaks.

Jim, others beat you to reserving the the red/black buckeye, the turquoise buckeye, and the bias-cut tigerwood in #4.

I do have the one tigerwood blank in pic #8 still available, it's the same stuff.

Also, I don't know what you mean by the "4" when you said:

I only have one of each blank, it seems like you're wanting 4 of them unless I'm reading them wrong, which is very possible . I only have the green and black buckeye available, the other two were reserved already.

So, I have you down in this thread for the green/black buckeye, would you like me to add you down for the tigerwood in Pic #8?

#9- B
#4-all
#24-all
#25-all

Dan, I have you down in this thread for Pic #4, all the Tigerwood.

I will also put you down in the other thread for #25, all of the walnut blanks (12pcs X $3 each).

However:

#9 B in the other thread was previously reserved for another.
#24, only the Morado is available. I will reserve the Morado for you, but the bias-cut Zebra was already reserved.

I'll Take all of #1 and #5 PM me with the total and I will get a paypal going. Thanks

OK will do. I'll PM the total tomorrow when I tab up all those who have ordered so far.

I have you down for all of Pic 1 and Pic 5. Probably a medium flat rate box will suffice just fine, you will probably have room for more blanks if you want to try to combine shipping.

By the way, you will love those beefwood blanks. It's a very nice wood to machine, has a very good weight in the hand, and the two-tones are especially cool. The grain pattern is very unique.

Wayne you will NOT be disappointed. These are some very solid offcuts, I've made some sweeeet pens with these.

I also made the handle to this lacewood box out of it:

Packages that are packed and scheduled for pickup by the post office tomorrow:

tdjumr
dansills
Foamcapt40
James Smith

Everyone else is either simply awaiting payment, or you've already paid and I'm waiting for your address or something similar.

All blanks sold and spoken for, thanks!

Many packages have been shipped already.

For all who have paid, yours will be shipping tomorrow unless it is going international, in which case it's going on Friday.

Thanks!
Matt
