I am going to buy a lathe chuck. I have a full size HF lathe w/ 1-8
threads. I am not planning on making any thing over 8" in diameter
I mostly make pens and bottle stoppers, but would like to expand.
Would like opinions on the PSI Micro&Mighty Barracuda 3. It is on sale
for $129.95. Opinion on key or lever. Just a note I have rheumatoid
Arthritis and have problems with my fingers handling things.
Thanks
Ron

The keys which require only one hand to operate are easier to use. That frees up your other hand for holding the work piece. Also, you may not have any plans of making anything over 8", but you may some day.

What Stan said. That, and I have three scroll chucks, all of them Barracudas; a one, a two and a four. And I would not hesitate to buy another of any numerical designation.
