Had a '51 F100 lowered with a tube axle, louvered hood, flat head with three single barrels (two were dummies) Nothing like cruisin' on Saturday night, or anytime. I think that's what you need Roy. You're right about never done. I think the El Camino needs another owner. Someone with enough resources to continue restoration.

I'm always working on my '73 BMW 2002 and decided R/C planes are my next step...it's fun to spend my kids money!

64 Chevy II sm blk 400 dual 500cfm B&M messed up with the hi compression stuff
I do not go far with it ( have you priced out cam2 ?) I just shine it, and start it now and then to hear the pete jackson gear drive whine, sometimes (when the neighbors crank me off )I'll uncap the headers and give it the old RPM tune up!

My neighbor's hate me because I give the race car a tune up all the time. Sometimes around 4:00 a.m on Friday night:eek:.

I feel your pain Roy. I've been contemplating what my next hotrod will be. I'm a Chevy guy, but my niece wants a VW Bug. I found a 68 bug that's been in the garage for 20 years, but i really want to build a late 70's to early 80's chevy pickup. I've got a few big blocks laying around just for it.

Ernie, made a few calls to my old club buddies and one of them has his 51 Chevy pickup for sale, 350/700 lowerd 4 in front and 6 in back, good 10 foot purple paint job, new wood in bed and I always liked the 48-52 Chevy pick ups. Only down side it's not a five window...

I'm a 5 window fan as well.

I build giant scale planes I have a Cessna 310 4.8 meter wing span. Runs with two 50 cc brave heart motors. The other is a PT51 with 4,2 meter wing span I am planning a 120 cc motor for that

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer I'm restoring. It seems everytime someting breaks or wears out not long after I fix it something else quits. I know it may be time to replace it but it only has 100k and I don't want monthly payments. I thought the repair would be cheaper but no one told me there would be multiple repairs in a row. I guess thats life in the fast lane.

........ Roy do what makes you happy and doesn't upset Dee.

Well that narrows it down a bit!!!:biggrin:

I can't think of many things that I like doing that don't annoy my wife.:biggrin: You know, things like breathing etc....

Go for it Roy !!! And why not get Dee to help decide which one to go for?

Never mind the zoomie stuff Roy,get yourself a land yacht, mid 50s Caddy or Buick.
Nice smooth ride, runs on whatever gas is on sale, and you can fit a lot of stuff in the trunk
(like a spare car) and if you go out with friends there is all kind of room, When is the last time Dee sat right next to you while you were cruising ?
ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!
Go ahead Roy,you earned it!
Mark

This might be my new toy, we're real close on price.

Great looking truck Roy. I wish the thumbnails would get larger when I click on them. Don't know what's going on there. Hope the deal works out for you.
