I like the grain as well, but I am a person who focuses on shape. God is the artist who creates the beauty in the wood, and I can either add to that beauty or distract from it when I cut the shape. With that said, I love the shape! It captures the lines of the grain and aligns it with the shape of the overall pen. Nicely done!

This is one of my favorite woods to turn. I love the dense tight grain and it looks great in this pen!

thx, i was really surprised at the grain ...it's a little long...by about 1/4"

Beautyful grain and match. Looks like a little mini sub with the waves flowing over the body. I think I can see the reflections of the of the red lights from the D.E.A on the clip. Excellcent craftsmanship !! Jim S
