Hello all, I was just wondering if any of you weld for a living, and if so, just wondering how you keep from getting zapped when tig welding and your glove gets wet from sweating. Just wondering and if anyone has any suggestions would be grateful.

Try using some cotton gloves inside the leather ones, changing them when damp, might help. If that doesn't work, try some nitrile/rubber gloves inside the leather, bit uncomfortable when damp inside though.

The first thing I would suggest is don't hold the filler rod in your hand, use a holder. They're insulated and some even have a ground wire.

Second, insulate yourself. If your welding on a metal table, put a piece of rubber, cork or someting down so your body won't touch it.

In general, just don't ground yourself.:wink:
