Well he goes back a long time before that...he started with "The Williams Brothers" in the 1940s - moved to a single act while I was in high school in the 1950s and had his own TV show in the 1960s.

I learned to slow dance to Moon River back in 5th grade when boys and girls didn't mingle much> Every time I hear that song I remember "Now class 1 and 2 and 3 and 4..... While we struggled with the box step. I just realized this dates me LOL (late 50's)

He had the BEST Christmas Specials. Loved listening to he and his brothers sing together. Great man!
