Thats probably Jeff Powell.. (user name workingforwood). You can try reaching him here through or maybe through exoticblanks because he dosn't post very often lately.

There have been a few, workinforwood (Jeff Powell aka Master Scroller) is the first one that comes to mind.

Is there one in particular you're looking for?

Jeff Powell (masterscroller) is frequently on Exotics' FaceBook page--he is also establishing his own FaceBook page for "MasterScroller".

:rolleyes: I have a pen in my photos that has a scroll sawn Gecko inlayed in Turquoise on a bandless pen. I got the idea from an article written by Wes Demarest featuring Jeff Powell's work. Jeff is an intarsia artist who doesn't make pens per se, but gets a lot of attention from penturners for his scroll sawn blanks. The article was in the Winter 2010 issue, # 24, of Woodturning Design, pages 16-20. It gives you complete instructions on how to make this design and others with templates. You can go to their site to order back issues. (www.woodturningdesign.com) I went to their site to order this issue and ended up ordering all back issues. The more you order, the better the price. Just click on back issues to get the deal. There are quite a few pen related articles ( some written by are members ) , but also so many good tips on finishing, design, turning, glueing, segmenting and other subjects it was well worth the investment. One quick correction, Jeff DOES make pens.

Often his own design and his own components, but he HAS been known to make a kit pen or two as well.

He was an exhibitor at the Chicago Pen Show a couple years ago. We saw him there.
