Alumilite Swirls getting better....

Here is a special order Trumpet Call blank that I just pulled out of the pot. It is Cholla Cactus Skeleton cast in Red, White & Blue Alumilite. I am still working on my swirls but I think they are getting better. I think I am panicking and pouring too fast because this stuff sets up mucho quick. Sending off these things makes me sad because I rarely see them finished and I dont know how to make a trumpet call not do I have time to learn:frown:.

That looks fantastic. Did you use the crystal clear version when casting this or is the Alumilite white? The swirls are great, I would like to see it finished as well.

Thanks Cris, this is Alumilite Clear and Alumilite dyes (Red, Blue & White).

Exactly, a Turkey Trumpet Call or some folks use them for Duck calls or any other call really. They are big at 1.5"x1.5"x6.5" and eat up a lot of that high dollar resin.

Good looking blank Chris. To bad of not knowing what its goona look like.
Soon as i get rid of the PR i have left, im wanting to try the alumilite myself.

Question: The alumilite clear, does it, when it hardens, stay clear? and the alumilite white, when it hardens, turns white? and thats with no dyes mixed. Do i have that correct?

I wish I could. This blank went into the mail right after I snapped the pics. I hope to get pics of one of these. I have sent out two like this in the past two Weeks. Maybe I will get one back....
