Okay, so I ordered some resin and some fiber tape to play with last week. I got two shipment notifications, so obviously two packages.

First package arrived at the house on Saturday. The other was originally scheduled for the same day, but got bump until today.

Today: My wife gets a call from our Dermatologist's office. They have a package of carbon fiber tape. My name and address is on the package, but someone taped over it with their address.

What the?!?!?!?!??!

And this is Fedex, not USPS.

Now I do have a package via USPS that's still missing. Supposedly delivered yesterday, but I have yet to see it. I'll give it a day or so before I contact the vendor.

Mike,

If tracking shows YOU received it yesterday, better to talk with your postman. The sooner the better (while he still MAY remember the package).

FWIW

Package was addressed to my DC office. Not likely they remember anything.

Probably misdelivered. Tracking only says it was delivered SOMEWHERE. Usually, whoever got it will send it back.

I don't know, to me, I'm thinking FedEx must be geniuses. Either that or they are stalking you. How else would they know who your dermatologist was. Maybe they figured you'd be there for an appointment....

Tracking is supposed to say it was delivered to the address it was sent to. At least delivery confirmation is.

I know that if USPS shows it as delivered, I can't put in an insurance claim and I will not replace the shipment (except for customers who have made multiple previous purchases).

My experience with USPS tracking is that its unreliable at best.

I've had vendors contact me about a shipping delay (as they watched the tracking) with the package in my hand.

I've had the tracking tell me the item was delivered and it not show up until two or three days later.

Here in DC they scan this as delivered when it leaves the DC sorting center. It then goes to a local location to get resorted into the delivery zones. Then it goes out with the postal worker.

In this case its only $20 in merchandise, so I'm not too concerned. If it were a couple hundred and went missing. Someone better be doing something, or they'd lose a customer permanently.

They do it right here - mine get scanned in the post office and scanned as delivered by the carrier.
