So I was at the Grocery Store the other night getting some things when I realized my shop was dictating what items I was purchasing. I prefer to reuse containers from the kitchen in the shop to store fluids, screws or whatever. Well over time I have found certain containers I prefer over others. I caught myself buying salsa that is ok over the salsa I really like because the container was more practical for shop use.:bulgy-eyes:

Anyone else have this problem?

Come on help me out here.:frown:

No help available. You're too far gone already.

I bought crappy jelly once because it was packaged in a mason jar with a handle. Jelly was horrible but jar is the best Iced Tea jar.

Yes and no, I buy the potato salad and coleslaw from Aldi's because of the containers. But I like both of them as far as the ones that are available at the Meijers across the parking lot. GFS has candy in large clear plastic square jars. They are good for storing dry powdery stuff, But have enough already so they go into the recycle box when I have an MT one.
And of course saving the prescription containers from the wife's and mine, casting molds for larger chunks of resin.
When you get to the point you can collect SS checks, I only buy the food I like now. Of course it is only in moderation, due to dietary restrictions
:clown:

LOL another yes and no. NORMALLY if I like two products I will go with the one in the cool container I can reuse. Lately my need for water tight containers has taken a dramatic jump! Flour, rice, sugar and other staples need to be stored in the bush and 5 weeks is a long time to live in a wall tent! I have to admit I have made purchases I normally would not have because "thats the perfect size jar for our rice cache on the trip".

ROTFLMAO! Welcome to the vortex.

When you start selecting shirts based on how your favorite pen will look in the pocket, you may want to seek professional help (a pen decorator):)

What? I thought everyone did that already.:bulgy-eyes::bulgy-eyes:

I told my wife to quit buying me shirts without pockets, or I'd start buying my own, and nobody wants that.

I reuse a ton of containers....and have more of them than any normal human being will use in two or three life times. I find myself wondering where the heck I'm going to store them. On the other had the container never ever is part of the buy/don't buy decision.

Chris, I will buy pen kits just so I can use the plastic baggies for CA!:giggle:

A friend in Michigan sent me some walnut bowl blanks a few years ago. The box was filled with small (4x3) containers with lids./ I asked him why. "It's cheaper than bubble wrap"...I still use them to this day for whatever! I buy salsa because it's better than Catsup...sometimes...but not on tacos.
