Just a fun one for today.

This is a Zen chrome and the acrylic is from Woodcraft, called 'Candy Coated'.

The acrylic was very transparent so I reverse painted two coats of pearlescent white and then painted the tube flat white. This was an experiment in reverse painting to see if I could get some more color out of it with the pearlescent.

Thoughts?

Nice!

I just picked one of these up today when at Woodcraft .... now I know what it will look like turned!! Thanks!

Very nice work. I buy lots of blanks at wood craft. Have always done well.
I am new at pen turning. So I have a basic question. What is reverse painting?

Painting the inside of the blank after you drill a hole so that the tube doesn't show through the translucent material.
