Since Payton Manning, and other former Colts have relocated, we are now Bronco fans. Here's the problem.....how can we watch the Broncos without refinancing the house to pay Direct TV, nearly $300 a month? Are these games broadcast on the net at all? Are there any alternatives?

I should mention that, where we live, Direct TV is the ONLY TV service available. SO, they can get as much as they want for service.:frown:

This is so funny because I am wearing my Broncos t-shirt today. Now come on Chuck, you can order NFL ticket right now for $199. That gets you every game every week. That is like $12.45 a week during the 16 week season.

I listen to the games on the NFL website---radio from either team's home broadcast--about $20 a year. (Playoffs are extra, again I think it was $20) No pictures, but I know what the field looks like and can manage a mental image of a pass!

Thanks Ed! But, MY mental images aren't so sharp these days

Why would anyone pay to see the Bronco's? That is what is baffleing me.
Ed, before they were Broncos. NOW, they're REALLY Broncos

Peyton sucks anyway:eek:. Maybe you could root for The Dolphins, i'm sure they show those games in Florida!! If there's a local Hooter's nearby, they'll have the games on every Sunday, as they have the NFL ticket. Just tell Susanne your going to a pen turners meeting:biggrin:

Im with Ernie! There has to be a sports bar somewhere close that sells beer and wings and shows all the games on 27 tv's at once. Cheaper and more fun.

hmmm you can move to DE and I'll let you watch all you want on my spare TV (it's only 46 inch but you can sit close). I don't know that I get them all but of a Sunday afternoon I flip through a whole lot of them. I don't watch more than about a quarter or so of any game...once in a great while I fall asleep and have one tuned in for a half.

Watch it Ernie! You know, I'm Paytons best buddy  Just like I was Dales :tongue: I agree though....Hooters IS a nice atmosphere....although very distracting:rolleyes:

Mike, you don't get out much. We've been down that road. Last year with the Colts games. TOO expensive!

I have been known to doze off too Smitty:redface: They kick you out of restaurants for that.

Chuck,

I may be interested in contributing to the "Chuck's Buckin Bronco Fundraiser". How much would this one be??? http://www.penturners.org/forum/f13/pelikan-reproduction-93195/

Jason
LOL....thanks Jason! That pen was made for a special friend, but I'm sure I still have the recipe:biggrin: I like that Fundraiser idea. That seems to be the way to get around these days.:biggrin: Make me an offer

I like Mike's reply. When I was an indurtrial abrasive saleman I took a sales training courses and in it they said to break everything that the customer thought was too expensive down to the smallest amount you could and they will place the order. So, $12.45 a week breaks down to $6.23 a half and 3 dollars and 12 cents a quarter. You mean that you wouldn't consider paying 3 dollars and 12 cents to see that game and players you want to watch after all the years you worked so hard to get to where you can enjoy the simple things in life. Heck, I'll send you 3 dollars and 12 cents for the first quarter if that will help. It worked for me......

Buy yourself a sling box (all ovef ebay for less than $100) and find a friend that has NFL game package and stream it to your TV. No fees, and it works well.

Heck, Mike! I like Chuck! If I were gonna watch the Broncos this season, I'd hook him up. I gotta watch Tebow. Both Manning and Tebow used to beat the slop out of my Dawgs, but Tebow acted like he felt bad about it. NOT PAYTON:)

Sling box?
First he has to find a friend.

that lives close by.
I've got ONE! But, I avoid him so he doesn't know much about me yet

Chuck, the turtle you took a picture of doesnt count as a friend. At least one that will share his TV.

With Sling Box, the friend can live anywhere in the world. The stream is handled by IP protocol. The box does have to be located at the signal source (the friend's house).

During the week, my wife lives in another city. THERE IS NO WAY WE ARE PAYING TWO TV BILLS! We "Sling" the TV connection from one house to the other. We've been using this technology ever since they upgraded to HD. Rarely ever had an issue. Both "houses" must have an Internet connection....unless you choose to sling over a tablet or smart phone.

I'm an oddball on this subject. I have virtually no interest in any ball sports, and have never figured out why so many people across the land gets so worked up about it, spend so much money to watch or attend the events, and why the players make SO MUCH MONEY for simply PLAYING A GAME.:eek::eek::eek::eek:

And whenever I mention that to people I just blank stares like they can't understand how I wouldn't eat, sleep and breath it like "everyone else".:confused::confused:

I guess I missed something in my childhood, but mostly I think it's because I enjoy participating and not spectating.

So since you already have one, cant we just all use yours?

Buy yourself a sling box (all ovef ebay for less than $100) and find a friend that has NFL game package and stream it to your TV. No fees, and it works well.

Sling box only allows one remote user at the time. Otherwise, it would violate a bunch of laws.

Since you can only hook up one remote per Sling Box, You would have to have multiple sling boxes. That gets into a "gray area" of theft of services.
