I have some charts I made but they are not very detailed.I would love to have charts for turning stock(2-6"thick),they have plenty of charts for 1-2" stock that is broke down in foot increments(I need it down to inches, even 1/4 inch).I know some of you computer guys could do this rather easy so who is going to get started, lol. It would be cool to just look at a chart and it tells me that a 2-3/4" thick 10-1/2" square blank is this many cubic inches and this many board feet.Maybe something like this exists already?I may have to sit down and do the math for some charts as it would save me a ton of time.Victor

have excel?

make a column for three things

length
width
height

forth column should be =lxwxh to get cubic inches

last column should be =ci/144 to get board foot.

Let me know the limits of what you want and I'll put it together for you.

What starting thickness, what increment (1/4"?) and what maximum thickness.

Assume all boards are square? What starting size and what increment? IE start at 2x2 in 1/2" increment up to 12x12?

PM me your email address, I'll send you an excel table.

Let me know if you want any changes, it only takes a few seconds,

And in most places, stock less than 4/4 is calculated as if it was 4/4, so 2, one half inch boards cost twice as one - 4/4 board of the same length and width...

It probably doesn't matter, but you COULD add a few colored lines so it would be easier to follow the rows and columns (Kinda like the old "green bar" if you are an antique that remembers that stuff!!)

Great job on layout though!!!

I had the thought but wasn't sure if it was going to be printed or not ... some colour don't print well making the text hard to read.

I'd be happy to pretty it up if anyone wanted it so.
