Yes I know it is Tuesday so I am a day late. . .

Friday at work I was talking to one of my co workers about mixed drinks, and decided I was going to have a couple that night. Well got home and started doing some stuff in the shop, and decided I would have a couple after I finished up in there for the night. Well my 6 year old comes running out with "Momma needs you, I didn't do it..." Which ended up being a trip to ER so they could super glue a cut shut on my daughter.

Saturday a cop stopped tried giving me a ticket for drinking in public. I was mowing my lawn, (had my beer in a paper bag thought) having a cold one.

Saturday night girls wanted to sleep in one room together, well about 4, the 3 year old decided she wanted the 6 y.o. out of her room, so some how I end up on the floor in that room.

Thank God It's Monday!

Virginia must have some strange laws... my son the truck driver was driving through Va a few Christmas's back with Christmas lights on his truck... he used to be really into Christmas and always decorated his truck.... he was stopped and ticketed for having too many lights on his truck.

Public Intox for being in your yard, he could have been given a DUI if it was a riding mower. Next time put it in your McDonalds cup. Looks like your drinking sweet tea then.

You can be charged with DWI (driving while intoxicated) for sitting in your driveway in the car with the keys in your pocket, driving a bicycle while intoxicated, driving on a moped....basically operating anything with wheels...

Public intoxication would have to be in public, so your yard wouldn't count, I wouldn't think. DWI could, however...

I think the cop didn't have his head screwed on all the way that day. Most states have laws prohibiting public drinking , but trying to enforce it on private property--particularly one's own property--would be an overreach.

DUI/DWI laws vary somewhat from state to state, but most (including Minnesota) apply broadly to motor vehicles. That's why you hear cases of people being busted for it on lawn mowers, golf carts, etc. But one interesting case here involved a DWI conviction against a person riding a mobility scooter. The appellate court reversed the conviction on the grounds that a mobility scooter was not a "motor vehicle" as defined by the statute, but rather, analogous to a wheelchair.

Bud Ice. Well it was just a double Deuce, and in a paper bag. Either a neighbor called or I think the brother I do not get along with did it. I live on a 4 lane road, so I guess since it is visable from the road... But oh well, break out the RED SOLO CUP next time!

In Arizona that includes riding a horse or mule while intoxicated

Sorry to hear your week end did not go so well for you.

If you have the occasion to drive in/through the "Great State" of Illinois, DO NOT EVEN DRINK WATER WHILE DRIVING!!!! Drinking anything while driving there is cause for a "drinking while driving" ticket. To your insurance provider, it looks the same as a DUI. DAMHIKT

The Public Drinking thing is not as rare as one might think. the enforcement of those laws are often left up to the officer and his 'judgment'.
