I am having problems with the drill bit snagging the metal and breaking the joint, particularly brass. RPM? Bit type? Procedure? Thanks, Harry packerb said: Having posted for awhile so I thought I would post my last attempts. Added the Year of the Dragon. Click to expand...

I wouldn't have been able to complete the first two pens without the aid of a tutorial I found. Here is the link.http://www.spswoodturners.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Making-a-Scalloped-Segmented-Pen-Blank.pdf. I have changed a few things from the tutorial to make it easier. NO table saw. Built a jig for my cheap band saw and I don't use a clamp. I peg the stop which makes it a little more accurate. http://www.spswoodturners.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Making-a-Scalloped-Segmented-Pen-Blank.pdf
