Today I was introduced to the wonderful world of Kringles and I'd almost say if I met Kringles first I might never have gotten married - might have eaten myself to an early grave. Most things to eat that people rave over don't do a lot for me but I have to admit that the Cherrry Cheese Kringle that I had with lunch (Oh lets be honest 3 pieces is 540 calories - that was my lunch) is about the best danish pastry I've ever had. When I was 17 I worked at a summer resort and their pastry chef made truely outstanding danish pastry so I measure them against a tough standard.

10000 Thanks to Dawn and Ed for their kindness in sending these to me. They will be truely appreciated.

This is one time I feel for my poor wife who can't do much more than tease herself a little because they contain milk and she's alergic.

We have a small Swedish town about 15 miles south of here...Apple Almond Kringle and ebelskivers with boysenberry jam and fresh butter:biggrin::biggrin:...crap...I'm drooling on the keyboard:frown::redface:

Took me a second to figure out what you were talking about, I went to the potato chips first too. In our family they're called Kringlers and I've only ever had/made Almond flavored. Cherry cheese sounds like it would be amazing.

It's worth the drive from San Jose to get to Solvang on occasion. I eat myself sick on Danish pancakes and then make it worse with pastries from next door.:doctor:

Your welcome! (I was the one who gave Ed the idea to auction them off)

As a past winner of the Kringle prize you now know why I bid over $200 even though I could care less about the black mug.

These are in Kingsburg...Solvang is way to far since I can only drive 15 minutes after stuffing my face!! I make ebelskivers for the Fresno Pacific Univ girls swim team from time to time....more people seem to show up all the time other than the 16 girls that show up at 0630 am:confused::mad::frown:

You have Pea Soup in Solvang. Stop in Kingsburg every time I go down to Ridgecrest to see the kids. Wife and her family come from the UP. Her mom used to make Paste haven't had any in years. Wife brother found Paste place in Calumet MI. Whe had the Finish Meat Paste a couple of time, tast real close to my Mother in Laws homemade Paste.
