They are available at any tool machinery supply stores. CBN Cubic Boron Nitride is the second thing in hardness after Diamond.
Enco has them listed but currently on has diamond wheels.

Superabrasive Wheels are composed of a diamond or CBN* abrasive bonded to a wheel shaped core. Common applications include CNC** tool grinding, centerless grinding, O.D./I.D. grinding, insert grinding and surface grinding of hard-to-grind materials. Available in a wide variety of bonds, wheel shapes and sizes, and grit sizes.

Expensive and would have a limited application in wood turning other than sharpening carbide inserts.
A lot of application require flood or high flow coolant.

Several turners use them but they also sell their work for big bucks. Couple of videos explaining how they work and set up from a turner/seller on the net.

WOW that's a lofty option for tool sharpening, I have a few CBN lathe bits for turning carbide rollers for tube mills where I used to work, but Man wheels have to be expensive even from Enco.
Seems it would be less expensive buying Diamond Lapidary grinding wheels, or Diamond Flat Laps, for sharpening Carbide inserts.
The bit's I have are interchangeable tips that mount on a larger metal lathe tool, the actual tool is 3/4 x 1-1/2 inch and 4 inches long, my boss use to get quite upset if we chipped one, But they could be sharpened.
Even our Diamond turning tools could be sharpened. Just glad it didn't come out of my check!!

I just ordered 1 from Dave on Friday. It's been at the top of my list for a long time. I also ordered his cbn flat 2 sided hone.

Can't wait to get my hands on them.

Got my CBN wheel today and all I can say is wow. Put it straight on the grinder and no balancing. Not like the regular wheels.
