I can tell you why it didnt work!! He didnt set his lathe up correctly that was set up fo a 3yr old (you know measure to elbows) lol HAHAHAHAHA crazy canadiens
atleast a redneck would have set it up right.

The guy is pretty ingenious if nothing else!
I was just waiting to that tool to go below center and take his head off!

What are you guys talking about? I have that same lathe, just a larger model. His is just a little under powered. And by the way, Hold my beer and watch this is sometimes followed by, "Quit laughing and call 911."

That there is a special kind of stupid. Takes years to cultivate and develop that kind of willful moron-itude...

Im surprised he doesnt "rough It out" with a chainsaw as it spins to take it down quickly. Its good to know that caught out in the wilds I can use a mini van, a forklift and a piece of 2 inch pipe to make a bowl to hold my road kill supper.

I love the disclaimer " do not try this at home" why thats the first thing I thought I do when I saw it.

I could insert some comment about Canooks here, but I may want to see if Bellsy has any comments first.

Canadian and Proud of it.......now about my fellow Canucks, they have been known to come up with some neat inventions, but they have had a few failures as well. Damn that is funny though......:)

There are a couple of good ole boys down south that made a lathe from the drive train of a truck........but they pulled it out of the truck and made a rack for the axle first!

I'm thinking they highly over-rated the horsepower....just sayin'

What happens when the 'driver' of the lathe gases it and turns left?
What is his wife going to say when she gets home and sees a piece of wood on the van?

Scott (I wanna see him sand it now) B

This dude is actually serious! WOW hope he dosen't pass along those genes........I think his family tree quit branching with his great grandmaunt!

my family tree must have some of those roots in it. i was trying to figure out how i could use this theory. not the drill press and the skil saw, but the basic principle with more sophistication. been a red neck too long.
