I just picked up some brass strips today and was wondering if I could use them with gold. Now I don't have to wonder anymore.

Looks great.

Great job, the segments and metal really bring out the pens beauty, very high end looking.

I really like it. Now let us know if it cracks in a month or so. Not to be a poo-poo head, but you picked two woods that love to crack. And it has to do with heat, which can build up while drilling through metal. I hope for that pretty pen's sake I am wrong.

I'll let you know. But I've made others with brass or aluminum with no cracking after 3 months.
