Anyone know Chris Manning at silverhandstudios.com? He has some neat looking pens, reminds me of Mike Redburn's silver castings. Just wondering if anyone knew this gentleman...

Yeah, I saw something on his website about engine turning. Is that referring to a rose engine lathe?
Similar, but in this case it is more linear than rotary. It used to make some of the guilloche patterns on his barrels and clips. There's another great pen maker who uses similar equipment. Also does some very cool damascus steel finials. Check out metalwrite.com

Man, that's some really nice stuff! Thanks for sharing the link. The damascus steel thing just reminded me of williamhenrystudio.com. A few years ago, when I first got into pen turning, I remember my parents telling me about some knives and pens sold at Sissy's Log Cabin (jewelry store) in Arkansas. He uses damascus steel as well...
