Wow, here it is only the first week of October and we are getting our first snow. Not some wimpy little things that could be mistaken for sleet but huge flakes and lots of them.... I love the winter! Time to crank up the heat in the hot tub!

Has it snowed anywhere else yet this fall?

Ski resorts reported 12-15" from this weeks storms but I doubt that it will stick around long. Happy hot tubbing.

We had snow at elevation in august..........nuiqsut has a couple inches on the ground. Folks I know east of fairbanks in the bush have had some too.

Wow - snow down there... We hit an all-time record high a couple days ago here in Winnipeg of over 31 C (88 F)! VERY odd.

Farmers Market cancelled for tommorrow due to snow forcast.....possible 1" - 3". Gives me more time to prep for next weeks Christmas Bazzaar....

North of us and about 40 miles east got some. Turned to mud pretty quick. I attacked the pellet stove this evening and will go after the chimney pipe tomorrow. Saving myself about a hundred dollars in winter prep. Need to find waste oil for the shop now. My usual place went out of business. Very thoughtless of them.

The mountains in NC had a snow fall last week up around Grandfather Mountain and Spruce Pines.
If it snows around the Raleigh area or it even looks like it going to snow, they shut everything down. The equipment to deal with snow isn't in the area since we see so little anymore.

George count your blessing we are still in stage two water conservation here, not only we didn't have any snow, but a lot of heat; hell we can't even get any rains for that matter.

I didn't even knew it snowed in AZ. It is cold here in VA but no snow.. I hope it doesn't snow for awhile (atleast until Christmas). The whole city shuts down when it does.

We had frost overnight a few days ago and today it will be around 80. Go figure. I can relate to the hot tub. We have one as well and only use it in the cool and cold weather. It's great to be out there when it is snowing.

I didn't either until two years ago, well' I knew Flagstaff got snow, enough to have a ski resort nearby but didn't think it snowed anywhere else in the state! For years we drove from Texas to California at Christmas break and always just considered Arizona "that dry, blah, desert part" of the drive.

Of course once you get away from I-10 or I-40 things change and change in a hurry! Show Low is just 50 miles south of I-40 in the north eastern part of the state and driving along I-40, all you see in any direction is just dirt and rocks, nothing that would make one stop and say.... "Someday I'd love to move here and build our retirement home!" but that's what we did, right in the smack middle of the White Mountains where beautiful pine and aspen trees provide the scenery!

Here is a shot from the rear deck last year right after we moved in, the amount of snow really surprised me! I love this place!
