I have tomorrow off as a vacation day, and the 3 day holiday weekend looking at me...and I'm excited! (and needing the rest).

We have a little joke to "rub it in" on co-workers when we take a long weekend, we'll mention casually that, "since today is Friday and all"
(when it's just Thursday for everyone else.. ) It usually gets a
"you DOG" response.

This is going to be NICE!

Hoping everyone has a good upcoming weekend and Labor day Monday!!

Johnny

If I know you, there won't be much rest for you. But if you do, make sure you enjoy the time with Penny and the kids.

Mike, I suppose you have me figured out. I am scheming as to how to clear my custom work orders out, to free up a little family time long range, too.
I will admit I NEED to spend time with the family, and have some surprises for them planned, too. Penny is a wonderful gal to put up with me being tired, working so much and being the grouch butt I can (but don't want to be) be. Viva La Weekend!

John you are a Rascal !!!! Enjoy what ever time off you can get. I'm looking at a couple of weeks off my feet.

Ken, I'm WORSE than a rascal. Get this..My right hand man went home early with gut pains and called later to say it might be shingles (WTF?), 2nd shift team leader was a no-show today..and I'm on vacation, so guess who got left holding this bag of crap..that's right..my MANAGER. He deserves it, too, LOL. Oh, and we are SWAMPED right now. I'm loving it.
I'll get hammered come next Tuesday, but until then..woo-hoo, 4 day weekend!

Now I know why I was seeing "TGIF"'s on Facebook..

Ya got that right!

(or it was my coworkers breathing a sigh of relief..)

Good for you sir. We were told today we get off 2 hours early tomorrow. So, start my 3 day weekend at 1:00 (nice to work a 6 to 3 shift).
gotta love the 3 day weekend.

Thanks, Mark! Enjoy your time off also. Sounds like the upper mgmt at your workplace wants to bail early too, LOL.

I've been on vacation this week and spending it in the shop, doing what I enjoy. I hope you get to do something YOU enjoy on your your vacation day!

Same to you John, I took Tues off to recuperate from the long weekend and also makes the next week really short.

Lin.

Congrat's John. I know Penny and the kids will enjoy you being around the house. I also took vacation days starting tomorrow. I go back to work Tuesday morning. I told work not to call unless the whole place got blown up by a bomb. I'm past the burnt out stage of working 70+ hours a week for 4 months straight.

Have a good weekend, John. And for goodness sakes, stay out of convenience store parking lots.

We know how minding your own business in a public place turned out last time!

Looks like q good weekend for football watching, to me.

Good on you John! I hope you spend SOME time doing absolutely NOTHING. Take care, and do have a great week end!
Thanks Chuck! I plan on at least one good nap. You have a good weekend too!

You had some nice weather earlier this week, glad you got some shop time! I plan on making the most of it myself.

Lin, that sounds good, too! hope you enjoy your time off!

Enjoy your time off John, but from one who has been retired for 10 years all I can say is WHATS A WEEKEND?
Thanks, Rick! I'll never retire, I guess. whats a weekend..? I'm not sure either, LOL!

Thanks Ernie. I hope you get some rest, my friend! 70 hrs will burn most anyone out bad. Been there. Good call on telling them to not call you! I get calls I don't want too, but putting the cell on vibrate only has cured most of it for me, LOL.

Andy, you sure got that right, LOL. I don't go to that store anymore, imagine that.. And I look both ways about fourteen times every time now.

I'll be home by 7am. Its only 4 hrs drive for you to drive up to my house, I'll put you to work John!

Jeff, you know..it's only 4 hours to here for you, too!
I'm trying to avoid the 4 letter work word for a few days, but it would be fun to visit. Some of us have a cnc AT HOME! (some just at work).
I know you drive for a living, but my 108mi round trip, 6 days a week leaves me not wanting to drive anywhere else anymore. I bet you get burnt out on it, too.

John; Enjoy your weekend! Let tomorrow worry over it's own troubles for sufficient unto the day.....

Tomorrow (Saturday) is the day of the year i look forward to! The local Kipona celebrations starts in Harrisburg!

Not football, but the local CHILI COOKOFF! I get a handfull of quarters and start sampling the chili wares. Some are mild, some spicy, some take your head off HOT!

All are excellent, and I get some ideas for my own chili.

Thanks Randy! Good thoughts there, Sir.I hope you enjoy your weekend, too.
That chili sounds good, don't get a heat stroke from it!

Well isn't that special?

I'll finish this week out (today at noon) with 73 hours.
I'm taking tomorrow off to replace the front hub assemblies on my wife's Yukon.
I'll be back at work Sunday AND Monday to try to meet a project schedule.
Should have 70 plus hours next week too.

On the bright side, I'm not salary, and DO get paid overtime!

Ya'll that are off ... have a good weekend!
