Hey guys,

I have a few cocobolo burl blanks in my private stash and I am wondering if anyone out there can help me identify where they are from?! :)

From left to right:

#1 and 2: Really dark red before those blanks were turned I could not see any figure under the wax. They have the tightest eyes and they are really small.
#3 and 4: Those have the more the grain of regular cocobolo with bright eyes, quite small and grouped, this set is more on the redish-orangy side.
#5 and 6: Those are orange-yellowish, when turned they make a really fine dust, the eyes are really small.
#7 to 10: Those are more on the burgundy color side.

Thanks for your help!

Charles

Charles,

The 3rd, 4th, and 5th came from my garage and I would appreciate it if you would return them. Holy cow, those are amazing. Can't wait to see those pens!

Last four look more like HRB than Cocobolo.

The first four look like some I got from Nolan as Mike mentioned.

The other may have come from Albert (Exoticwo)

The last one I recall offering cocobolo burl was Nolan, and I recall it being almost reddish...so Nolan's likely the source of at least some of those....

Better question would be how did you end up with 10 of those rare and beautiful blanks in your personal stash if you don't know where you got them?
