I don't normally throw out plugs but the customer service at Berea is fantastic. I had never ordered from them until last week. I purchased two Electra fountain pens but when the order arrived I had two kits labled fountain pens but they were rollerball kits. I called customer service and they sent the correct kits and let me keep the rollerball kits without charge. I had also ordered the mandrel parts but forgot the Morse taper and they sent it with the new kits for free as well. Definitely will be doing business with them in the future.

I ordered about $150 in pen kits and a B mandrel. The B mandrel showed up without a "nut" so I contacted them to see if they forgot to ship it with the nut. Apparently the mandrel that I ordered didn't come with a nut (why they would sell a mandrel without a nut is beyond me, but anyways they wouldn't do anything for me. It was my fault for assuming that when you order a mandrel it comes with a nut, but lets just say I won't be shopping with them anymore.

Just my 2 cents.

Don.

when the Berea tropical kits first came out i ordered a few, I blew up one of the blanks so i called Berea to see if i could order replacement tubes for the tropical El Grande kit because the regular El Grande Tubes were just a hair larger, They did not have any tubes for them so they sent me 2 replacement sets of blanks for free. To me that was way above and beyond, They are top notch in my book!

Geez, that's a bad one. I guess they were assuming that just because you were ordering a mandrel, doesn't mean you were intending to use it.
