Hi,

After asking endless questions and dilerberating what and how to do it, Ive finally just got on and done a cast!

Got a 1/2 Gallon of PR, Micas, Cups, Stirrers etc and this is the outcome! Only problem was the mold was big than than the cups I had, so had to mix the colour in the mold with the PR. Possibly needed a couple more scoops or Mica as its a litle bit more transparent than I'd ideally like but suppose it lends itslef to colour changes through tube painting.

Well here its is, a big enough mold for 3 full size blanks!

Thanks for all the advic given in the forum and in Library!!

That looks great!

Clear PR? Green mica powder mixed into one cup of PR, then you poured that into the mold, waited for some gelling and then poured and stirred the white mica powedered PR?

I'm still in the getting my head around it stage!

This one was just a one colour pour. Clear PR and Green Mica, all mixed in one mould as a single pour. The pearl in some of the Micas makers it appear two coloured, as the light hits the powder at different angles.
I didnt belive it would show up this much, as I assumed you'd need two colours for such a contrast. Brooks set me straight though!

Thanks for all the comments guys, now I think I need to get a pen made from it! Or possibly another casting session!

I did my first today as well Phil..Yours is beautiful!! Gold or Ti would work well. Want to see it when it's finished!!
