One gentleman I did an order of pens for thought I should be marking them somehow. Is there any practical, nice looking way to do this? Does someone have an example they would be willing to show me?

I thought by the subject line you were wanting to make a pen that you could fill with Maker's Mark Bourbon. I would have subscribed to that thread!

Someone was at one time having engraved on all his pens at the top of the barrel his logo. I think it was a cursive N.....small enough not to take away from the overall pen but big enough to be recognized.

hold bottle in right hand, glass in left, position bottle over glass, tilt right hand, repeat as necessary....

seriously tho'...recently started making more custom/signature pens so wanted to mark them as well. ordered TINY sterling yin-yangs (goodturns logo) to insert in pens before finishing. They will live either in the tip (shown) or under the clip.

You could always dip them in red wax:biggrin:. But Maker's has that trademarked, so they'd probably sue you.

I've wondered the same thing, I wonder if marking inside somewhere would work, like on the transmission? Or maybe on the backside of the clip?

Just a little something so in 10 years time you'll know it's one of yours.

You can put a "black light" pen mark on the underside of the clip. Then you only need to expose the pen to black light. If it glows, then you made it. you can even get different "glow" colors.

I prefer to put my "mark" on the box or pouch instead of adding it to the pen.
