Well, many may think I am crazy but I was contacted several weeks ago by Jonathon (Brooks803) about the possibility of attending one of his casting demos. This is something I had been thinking about for some time and this past weekend the opportunity presented itself.

I had a great time at the GA IAP Chapter Meeting on Saturday. I finally got to put a face to the names of those I see on here. It was a pleasure to chat with many of you. Also, I hope all of you that purchased blanks and molds put them to good use. Let me see the final products when you get them completed.

Many thanks go out to Robert for setting this up, Russell for the information on the new CA product and Constant for chatting about your systems and setup. I learned a ton!

Thanks to Jonathon and Shea for a place to lay my head on Fri & Sat night! I had a great time chatting with you both and seeing the farm that you live on. I hope one day to have land and animals of my own.

Another thanks goes out to Andy and Christie for the hospitality! The beer was nice and cold, the burgers were great and the brats were even better! Just keep in mind though....this Sailor doesn't go down without a fight...LOL! That boat ride was an adventure and fun! Thanks a ton for all the goodies!

Now I must get some sleep because I am tired!! Thanks all! This site and our trade survives due to people like you! If I missed someone, I apologize up front, it was not on purpose.

Fred, Thanks for coming to the meeting, It was good to meet you. In this virtual world it is good to be able to put faces with names. I'll be posting pens cast with my new mold soon.

You're always welcome here Fred. It was great to not only meet you but get to know you as well. I had a blast this weekend. My voice is totally gone from talking all day Sat. Andy & Christie, thank you for all your hospitality. Shea and I had a great time and the food was perfect! Next time out I'll bring my surf board and thick rubber shoes

Enjoyed the visit AND PenDawg1 says that you can be First Mate on the Ruby Begonia, anytime .

Christy and I really enjoyed visitin' with you, Jonothan and Shea.

You had some awesome pens displayed at the meeting, I must say. I appreciate the discussion we had.

I like the format that you guys used. It was neat to see a meeting that was held at WoodCraft. Ours have been held in my shop around my Table Saw and Lathe.

Jason

We are already over our quota of "north of the border" hall passes. INS has already contacted us and wants an investigation....LOL.....something about transporting silicon and polymer resins over state lines.....maybe next time!

Fred

We had a great time, and thank you for bringing your product and knowledge to the discussion, always great to hear from the people we buy stuff from!

Jonathan and Shea

Ya'll come back now ya' hear! Thanks again for coming over and participating in our "lets help shy people not be shy" program! I am not sure why your voice was messed up, as Shea did as much to keep you on the straight and narrow as you did....LOL....Thanks again for coming over and sharing your knowledge and expertise in the products and stuff you use. Hope to see you in September or December. Apparently from what Fred says, you guys make a great 'half way house' for our meetings!

PenMan1

I am only 30 to 40 minutes from you, and would love to come over and see your place!

Robert

Ah man.....Had I known you were going Fred I would have tagged along. Oh well.

Robert, I would love to have you come over. AND I am very sorry for not making the meetings. I do try to "keep up" with reports my friends who "rub in" what all I missed.

When the only income is derived from penmaking, that usually means every Saturday is a "show" day.
