I have a small Craftsman metal turning lathe my father bought somewhere around 1946-1947. It is in excellent condition with many accessories with one exception. It does not have a live center for the tail stock. The ram in the tail stock has a #0 Morse Taper. The only #0 live centers I can find on the net cost an arm and leg where as a #1 MT are very inexpensive. What would happen if I tried to use the #1 in the #0 ram?
