Can I save a thread as a draft?

I want to write a thread now, but have to add stuff later. If I submit the thread as is, I will have to go back later. Can I just type it and store it somewhere?

I often have to do just that... if I get too windy (as I'm inclined to do sometimes) it takes longer to write a thread than the time allowed on the site... when I post I'll find I've timed out and have to log in again... then I lose the post... so if I think it's going to be really long, then I'll write in word or notepad... usually word and paste.
