Don't buy from China. Even though our government has compromised its stance on human rights, we as individuals can stand up for what we think is right. They kill people who don't accept their doctrine.
Besides, even though we buy from a U.S. vendor, they probably got the part from China in the first place.
Without getting into specific politics of things - we (the USA) have always been a trading nation, from our earliest founding overseas trade has been a mainstay of our economy.
As we grew in size and economic strength we shifted slowly from exporting mostly raw materials and importing mostly finished goods to the opposite. And, as we became bigger and bigger consumers we shifted from exporting more than importing to the opposite. We began keeping more of what we made and using it here while still buying the raw materials. That is again shifting and has been for years. We are still large consumers, but now we are importing more finished goods than we ever did before.
