I can't access ebay from work, but $1000 for some collectable fountain pens is small change. The gold / diamond version of the Montegrappa Eternal Bird is very pricy

I doubt you can find a Montegrappa Limited Edition under $1000

And Montblanc usually has some exotic limited edition for over $100K

There is a small niche market for this sort of high price pens. I just checked Joon and they have over 400 different pens in their catalog at $1000 and up. And while this stuff might not sell in Peoria, it does sell in New York, Paris and Milan.
 
I've seen the diamond one that was on a youtube video for 130K I think it was. Looked horrible. Think I would just want to slap someone that would spend that much money on a pen.

I couldn't agree with you more. I won't even spend the $30 it would cost me to keep one of my pens. LOL. The only pens I use are my manufacturing rejects or the ones I swipe from work.
