I everyone, I wanted to see if you folks like piano music.
I like George Winston and I like his music so much I decided to teach myself to play his music.
I know nothing about chords or notes and I started playing Georges music about 6 years ago, after I learned some of his piano pieces I was able to creat my own piano pieces, I uploaded one and it is at this site if you folks want to listen to one of my pieces---http://www.supload.com/listen?s=oLjcBz
I hope you folks enjoy it and comments are welcome, aloha.

Leo O kapo, that is a nice piece. You must have spent a lot of time practicing in the last six years.

Listening to it a second (and third) time as the background for writing this message.

Beautiful piece...and your playing in pretty nice...these pieces remind me the 80's (during my High School years)...you know, Lionel Richie, Phil Collins, ect... Thanks for sharing!!!!

I am also a fan of George Winston. I even heard one of his concerts in Ann Arbor a long time ago. He came out onto stage barefoot. I also like David Lanz, Wayne Gratz, and Benny Green. I applaud your accomplishments at playing. Learning to play well is on my "bucket" list. Some day.

Very nice!! Always wished I had some talent (ANY talent!!). I used to be pretty good at Chopsticks but I'm so old now I not sure I remember how it goes. LOL

I'm a Floyd Cramer fan.

I to like piano music, also a Floyd Cramer fan. You have to be old to remember Floyd Cramer and I am. Sadly no musical talent here:frown:, I just enjoy listening to good music, again sadly most of todays "music" leave me cold. Must be an old person thing:wink:.

It's about time! I've been waiting three years for this. I'll take a listen right now, and let you know what I think.(not that it matters)

Hi everyone, thanks for all the comments, I figure when I retire from wood I can got right into the piano:)
Hi Alexander, I also went to high school in the 80ies, it wes great all the music from that era, and before, I started listening to George Winston in the 80ies.
Hi Dave, I sew George in constert when he came over here and that is his thing, he will always come out without any shoes and most of the time he has blue jeans and a long sleeve shirt, if I become a famous pianist like him then I will com out on stage barefoot and wearing a T shirt and surfer shorts :)
Hi Carl, I agree some of the music now days in not appealing to me.
Hay Chuck if you want I will send you a copy of my CD, I have 14 different piano pieces on it, let me know, heck I will send one to anyone who might want one, aloha to all and thanks again for the comments.

Floyd Cramer was one of my favorites - Last Date is one of my favorite songs. Hard to believe he's been gone for 14 years (give or take).

Kalai...just saw "Keoki" Winston at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley...solo piano in all styles ( esp. like his "Stride" stylings),solo Slack Key guitar, & solo harmonica-all were impressive....BTW my favorite Winston is with Keola Beamer on Keola's "Kolonahe" LP-Ka Makani Ka'ili Aloha makes me homesick for Mau'i... yeah, Brah, I'm native born....Mahalo nui loa for the thread and Malama Pono to all.....oh, PM me about your CD or just to talk story...Aloha from Berkeley

congratulations. that is beautiful stuff. its amazing how everyone, almost, can listen to piano music of any kind even though they wouldn't listen to either's music otherwise.
